American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Chicago follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Truly one of the best pastry shops in all pf Chicago. This pastry shop does everything that you want in a shop. It has samples and delectable portions in every imaginable way. The Food: the variety and quality of confectioneries is staggering since it's all made from scratch. The Service: is impeccable and fast. We had our pastries in no time at all. The Atmosphere: was completely done in a contemporary style. Whoch refreshing. If you love sweet treats this is for you.

We visited Paris Baguette in Chicago during our 4th of July weekend, and it was a delightful morning treat! The almond croissant was flaky and delicious, and the savory quiche was just right. Their iced coffee hit the spot, and the cafΓ©βs ambiance was relaxing and inviting. Weβd definitely recommend it!

I really liked this place it has lots of options to choose from the bakery. I also love that it has the calories for each. I bought a cake to share and it was very light and fresh. It didn't feel heavy and everyone enjoyed it. It was the blueberry yogurt and it went very well without being too sweet.

I came to Chicago Downtown for the first time in a while. I was in the parking lot and suddenly had a stomachache. Not many stores opened early in the morning (8AM) and there was a friendly paribaget nearby, so I bought sandwiches and coffee. And I was using the bathroom and suddenly knocked on the door several times, so I found a female employee staring outside. I was a little flustered. It was a long way home, so I sat in the bakery for a little longer and then went to the bathroom again. But it wasn't even a few seconds before I walked in, and the female employee was standing, and as soon as I came out with an angry look, I went back into the bathroom. I felt very unpleasant because I felt monitored. What if I had bought nothing and used the bathroom? I don't understand how rude you are even though you bought expensive sandwiches and coffee. I will never go again.
